WESC worked with Einkorn NGO in Germany on two consecutive years on the project of Energy Detectives. The project aimed at raising awareness and empowering youth to learn about with the challenges of energy in their countries and strive to find solutions from within their community primarily and then on a global level.

In 2015, we worked with 100 students, ages 14-18, locally in Giza and Cairo. In 2016 the project outreach was bigger where we carried fieldtrips for more than 7 schools, launched a competition on energy consumption and conservation and had 5 winning students that went to Germany ( Hamburg) on an Energy Week Camp. The camp included participants winning from Germany and Jordan. It was a great exposure for students to engage in global discussions with people of their age and to learn about the growing renewable energy market in Germany through field visits.
